One of those things that make any space your own is décor. It is through placing these décor elements that we can personalize any space to fit our own taste and style. And DIY elements always give us a sense of accomplishments while also allowing us to give everything our own unique touch. The materials used for this craft are also quite easy to find. So, let’s get started!
What you will need:
- Thick rope
- Yarn of different colors
- Hot glue gun or any strong glue
- Painter’s tape
Take the rope and arrange it in a semi-circular shape. At the end of the semicircle make a fold and create another semi-circle that is attached to and above the first one. Repeat the same process until you have 7 semi-circles in total.
Cut the rope at the folds so that all the semi-circles become 7 different strands of rope of different lengths.
Take the painter’s tape and tape near the ends of the strands. Make sure the same length of rope is covered by the tape for both the ends of all the pieces.
Take one of the colored yarns and wrap the part of the rope between the two taped ends. Repeat this process for each of the strands, starting from the shortest to the longest.
If you want the final outcome to be rainbow colored, start with the purple colored yarn and end with the red one, following the colors of the rainbow. If you do not want the entire thing to be rainbow colored, feel free to use whatever color yarn you would like for each of the strands.
Now take all the strands and arrange them in the semi-circular shape they were initially in.
Using the hot glue gun, glue the strands in place and it is done!
You could glue a loop onto the back to easily hang it on a hook on the wall.
