[DIY] Strawberry Mason Jars

Mason Jars are always a great way to store any kinds of materials in the house. Instead of buying mason jars to use as storage it is strongly recommended to reuse jars that were used to package store bought items like jams. But why would we use those jars as plain as they came instead of converting them to something more? Here we will learn how to easily convert a plain jane mason jar into a strawberry themed one!

Here is what you will need:

  • A reusable mason jar
  • Red acrylic paint
  • Green acrylic paint
  • Black marker
  • Twine

Step 1:

Take the mason jar and clean it thoroughly, making sure the labels and any other stickers are off of the jar.

Step 2:

Once the jar is dry, using the red color, paint the mason jar below the rim.

Step 3:

Using the green color, draw zigzagging lines a little below the rim of the jar. Once all the diagonal lines are connected, paint from above the lines to the top of the mason jar using the green color. Wait for the paint to dry.

Step 4:

Take the black marker and draw small dots all around the mason jar onto the red part of the mason jar.

You could also use a hole punch machine to create small circles from black paper and stick them onto the jar using glue.

Step 5:

For the finishing touch, cut a long strand of twine and wrap it around the rim of the mason jar. Make two cycles around the rim and tie the ends into a bow.
